164599 Kellett Rd Tillsonburg, ON N4G 4V1
Situated approx. 50 km southwest of London, just outside of Tillsonburg, Polyculture Farm strives to produce quality local food through environmental stewardship. We are a small-scale family farm that remains a synergistic mix of crops, livestock, and perennial polyculture pastures and hayfields. We practice, study, and are open to learning ways to farm with multiple species of plants and animals, occupying the same space with complementary effects—this is not an innovative idea, rather, an old one that is being forgotten.
We produce pasture-raised beef and poultry, and a diverse mix of crops following organic polyculture methods. Our chickens are raised on pasture in a large movable greenhouse style structure that is advanced daily following our small herd of cattle. We supplement our chickens’ pasture diet with an on-farm mixed feed of cracked corn, roasted soybean, wheat, flax, mineral premix, and grit; any ingredient we need to buy is certified organic.
We’ve made the commitment to organic certification and are on track to be fully certified by early 2021 (organic application posted to our soon to be live website).
